There is no salvation for fruit that doesn't ripen and fall.

Boss Strategy[]

"Blessings on you."
—After defeating Awaken Krisalis

It's recommended by GameFAQs guide writer Palodios to use Darius when fighting Krisalis, and to add on to that suggestion - think about how badass it is for Darius to have to fight his partner, who's betrayed him after being together throughout the whole game.

Considering the biggest threat are huge visible pits that are easy to walk around, Krisalis isn't a difficult boss by any means. The battle can go on a bit long, though, so feel free to use that time to contemplate... What do her words mean... What is Evergrace about..

When you see Krisalis glow purple, she's about to hit you with some kind of beam. This isn't too hard to dodge, as there's really no reason to be near Krisalis unless she's doing a floor tile drop attack. However, if you're a short distance away and you see Krisalis glow yellow, best to move from your current spot. She's about to lunge at you. When she starts dropping one of the floor tiles, get close to her - this is the best time to counterattack. There'll be a brief period when she's done her floor drop animation that she'll stay still and be vulnerable. It's rarely enough for two attacks, so just chip away at that health. And of course, don't fall. As the battle continues, more pits will form, so it's best to keep your camera zoomed out and keep note of where they are. Also, some attacks will make your character step forward just enough to fall, take note of that when attacking her when she's immobile.
