Merida knows a great deal about the history of Rieubane, having the knowledge of a high priest. She also has the ability to communicate with "Mother of All Things" and through this ability she is able to inform Darius of various things.

In the english version of Evergrace 1, the second page of Merida's codex, unlocked in-game, is actually a copy of Darius's second page.
